Colin Spoelman and and David Haskell present The Kings County Distillery Guide to Urban Moonshining: How to Make and Drink Whiskey

Oct 26, 2013 @ 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm

| Free

Colin Spoelman, a former rooftop moonshiner from Kentucky, and David Haskell, the great-grandson of a Prohibition-era bootlegger from New York, founded Kings County Distillery in the Brooklyn Navy Yard in 2010 to make small-scale batches of moonshine, bourbon, and other whiskeys. Their new book covers whiskey’s history and culture from 1640 to today, and includes a detailed, easy-to-follow guide to safe home distilling, as well as a guide to the contemporary whiskey scene.
