Cave Comedy Radio Sausage Party
Oct 5, 2014 @ 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm| Free
A show reporting on New York’s most absurd criminal activity, dished out by one of Gotham’s most razor-sharp comedians; another that digs deep into horror and all things paranormal, featuring Adult Swim’s devilishly funny Henry Zebrowski; and also: a “legion of skanks.” What do these have in common? Each is a wildly popular podcast and all are brought to you by New York City’s own burgeoning entertainment juggernaut, Cave Comedy Radio.
In celebration of its momentous third broadcast year, Cave Comedy Radio welcomes audiophiles and comedy nerds alike to The Creek and The Cave on October 5th for a massive all-day sausage grill out kicking off at 3pm, complete with an endless supply of brats, franks and dogs, a Mac & Cheese cook off — and just as many laughs. The Creek and The Cave is Long Island City’s sprawling comedy compound furnished with two spacious performance spaces, an extensive Tequila bar, Mexican restaurant, outdoor patio, pinball machines and the Cave Comedy Radio studios.
The stage is set for a day glutted with hilarious performances. Starting at 6pm, a slew of live multimedia comedy shows get underway featuring the podcast network’s coterie of alt-comics and radio personalities from “Last Podcast on the Left”, “Legion of Skanks”, “New York City Crime Report” and more; then, at 8pm, a Cave Comedy Radio stand-up show stuffed with some of the best acts NYC has to offer: attendees can expect performances from Amber Nelson (Murderfist, “Brighter Side”), Mark Normand (Comedy Central, Conan), Pat Dixon (“Best Week Ever”, “New York City Crime Report”), Jay Oakerson (Comedy Central, “Louie”, “Legion of Skanks”), Chris Laker (Howard Stern, “This Week in Jackin’”) and many, many more (including more than a few surprise guests). A mustn’t-be-missed musical performance by The Cowmen (helmed by Holden McNeely & Marcus Parks of “Roundtable of Gentlemen” fame) will round out the day’s events at 10pm.
