CARINGKIND HOSTS SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL MEETING IN BROOKLYN: “UNDERSTANDING DEMENTIA FOR CAREGIVERS”

On October 19th from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., New Yorkers are invited to attend a special educational meeting, “Understanding Dementia for Caregivers” hosted by CaringKind, NYC’s leading experts in Alzheimer’s and dementia care for more than three decades. CaringKind is formerly known as the Alzheimer’s Association, New York City Chapter.

The free meeting is designed specifically for family and friends who are caring for people with Alzheimer’s or dementia. It will provide helpful information about the disease and introduce caregivers to the free resources and services that are available to help them cope with present challenges and future planning. The meeting is NOT appropriate for people with dementia.

Licensed clinical social worker Adina Segal will lead the meeting which will take place at the nonprofit Heights and Hills, located in Downtown Brooklyn.
