Sisters! Friends! Comrades! It is time to light the fires! Ignite your political flames and take matters into your own hands! June 27th-28th, Open Source Gallery will host a weekend-long session of Camp Mossandsticks at Red Hook’s Beam Center. Camp Mossandsticks—named after moss and sticks, two of the most rudimentary tools with which one can spark fire—is a conceptual and interactive project created by artist, Alex Tsocanos, that teaches young feminist revolutionaries the skills to living in America today! Over the course of the weekend, we will offer free workshops open to the general public, designed to help participants learn about their history and express themselves with confidence. Participants may choose to participate in all of the workshops or drop in for part of camp. Together we will rally to strengthen and inspire ourselves to make the change we want to see in the world!
