• The Really, Really Affordable Art Show, a juried show where really, really great bargains are to be found, and,
• Grand Installations – very different and yet all dramatic installations interspersed throughout the 2 floors of gallery space.
There will be concerts in many music genres as well as written word programs which aim to celebrate and savor the wondrous variety of local wordsmiths.
SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 24, 2016
Meet the Artists opening reception.
1:30 pm: the Eastern spaghetti music of Sal Cataldi/Rome 56. Time Out New York writes, “Cataldi’s largely instrumental, Eastern influenced jams are infused with some delicate guitar work and hauntingly moody atmosphere,” while The New York Times proclaims that Cataldi has “a beat unmistakably his own.”

3:30 pm: jazz pianist Richard Bennett & Wildlife 3000. As the Village Voice writes, “Pianist Richard Bennett has found a way to have instantly catchy tunes — riffs and ostinatos really — transcend jazz expectations while still focusing on improvisation.”
SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 25, 2016
2:00 pm: Brandon Glasgow has been writing and performing for over 15 years from the west to the east coast. Influenced by a soul-infused cocktail of rock, pop, blues, and funk, his focus on songwriting and performance is evident in every one of his songs. He simply creates stories and melodies that audiences will connect with again and again.
4:00 pm: Pianist David Durrah has had a long and varied career in jazz and blues. For this performance, his group will feature the alto saxophonist Harold Robinson and the vocalist Keith Dames. Presented by the Jazz Foundation of America’s Gig Fund program, with support from NYSCA and the NEA.
The BWAC GALLERY show is open every weekend 1-6PM from September 24 through October 16.
