Brooklyn Spaces Bike Tour
Nov 8, 2015 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm| $20
Brooklyn’s art, culture, and creativity has been part of the global zeitgeist for years. But what really happens here, in that industrial Gowanus warehouse or quirky Park Slope store front or cavernous Red Hook factory?
Join the first-ever Brooklyn Spaces Tour when cultural hipstorian and author Oriana Leckert teams up with tour guide progeny and Brooklyn native Jonah Levy! You’ll gain a deeper understanding of the history of these buildings, the realities of the people who keep them alive, and the future of those trends the New York Times loves to “discover.” With the help over a half-dozen founders and proprietors of innovative and community-oriented locations, you’ll explore shops, museums, galleries, and experimental spaces on this four-hour behind-the-scenes tour. And because this is Brooklyn, we’ll be doing it by bike.
