Brooklyn Sounds Concert Series Mid-Winter Recital Series: Heather Michele Meyer

Heather Michele Meyer made her professional debut as the Governess in The Turn of the Screw. Since then, she has performed the Countess in Le Nozze di Figaro, Ellen Orford in Peter Grimes, and Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni. During the 2009-2010 season, she was a Bel Canto apprentice at Caramoor Music Festival, and was seen as First Lady in The Magic Flute with Opera Vivente. In 2010-2011, she was the soprano soloist in Mendelssohn’s Elijah with Amor Artis and Vaughan Williams’ A Sea Symphony with Grace Choral Society, as well as Rica in Jennifer Griffith’s new opera, Beautiful Creatures. The following season, she was seen in Poulenc’s Stabat Mater with Voices of Ascension, in Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle with Amor Artis, and as Lisbe in Spohr’s rarely heard opera Zemire und Azor, with Liederkranz Opera Theatre. Most recently, she was seen in Paula Kimper’s new opera Truth, in the dual role of Olive/Mary. Upcoming engagements include Vitellia in La clemenza di Tito with dell’Arte Opera Ensemble and a reprisal of Truth at the NYC Fringe Festival.
