The Hip-Hop musical genre has undergone a series of tumultuous stages since its inception in the latter part of the 20th century. The lyrical exhibitionists of the genre, musicians known as Rappers or MC’s, were responsible for introducing Hip-Hop to the world. Nonetheless, very few MC’s have been able to display the level of talent, dedication, and sheer musical genius as Ayo Breeze.

Born in Brooklyn in the late 1980′s, Brandon “Ayo Breeze” Baril was exposed to the New York urban lifestyle and Hip-Hop subculture since infancy. At age 6, he began composing beats to suit the whims of his father’s friends, who eagerly offered lucrative sums for exclusive copyright ownership of those productions. Breeze later moved to Queens during his early teen years, bringing along his tactful historical knowledge of Hip-Hop, and ambitions of becoming a DJ for the genre. It was at this time that he first began to expriment with lyrical composition, and within a short period, he mastered the art altogether.

At age 17, Breeze co-created and participated in the commercially successful Rap duo Breeze-N-SP with longtime friend Thomas “SP” Skinner. The group’s first studio album “This Is Not A Mixtape Vol. 1″ featured singles such as “Hit Me On My Sidekick” and “Go Dumb”, and debuted on New York’s premier Hip-Hop radio stations Hot 97 and Power 105, as well as cable television’s Music Choice . Their second album “Take 2″ featured the hugely popular single “Let’s Be Friends”, and was aired on the aforementioned radio stations, as well asMTV.com. Currently, Breeze and SP are working on individual projects as solo artists.

Ayo Breeze’s impending release of his first solo mixtape, “The Cold Front” is to serve as the precursor to his first solo album, Breeze’s sizeable fanbase eagerly awaits to see what pinnacles he has achieved as an MC and recording artist. His time has now come, and all are invited to experience for themselves the music, passion, and talents of Ayo Breeze.
