Awareness Meditation Workshop

n Pali, the language extant at the time of the Buddha, the word Sati became defined as “Awareness or skillful attentiveness”.
The Buddha considered Satipatthana “the direct path for the purification of beings, for the surmounting of sorrow and lamentation, for the disappearance of pain and grief, for the attainment of the true way, for the realization of Nibbana through the 4 foundations of mindfulness: contemplation of the Body, of Feeling, of the Mind and of Mental States.
In this meditation workshop, we will be introduced to the four foundations, sit and meditate on them and with them for about 20 minutes, take a break, do a 10-minute walking meditation, then discuss our experience and attain Nirvana! Or at least set the foundation for a meditation practice of our own and/or enhance our existing practice. No experience necessary.
