Jimenez moved to New York in 2007 and has been part of numerous group exhibitions at galleries including FiveMyles and Rush Arts Gallery. In 2010, she received the New York for Better Neighborhoods Grant for a project based on work with the non-profit group Filipinas for Rights and Empowerment. In 2011, she was a contestant and finalist on Bravo’s Work of Art the Next Great Artist. In 2013, she received her MFA in Fine Art at Parsons The New School for Design. While in graduate school, she was the recipient of the New School University Merit Award and the Chaim Gross Scholarship.

This year, Jimenez was accepted into the Visiting Artist Residency Program at Brooklyn Art Space. She will be an artist in residence at BAS from January – June 2014. Alongside the residency, she has co-curated the performance series, Periphery Projects, with Jade Yumang at Strange Loop Gallery. Most recently, Jimenez has exhibited her work in Re:Purpose, a group exhibition through the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts and FiveMyles Gallery. Her work was also featured in the Recent Graduate Exhibition at the Affordable Art Fair, curated by Gabriel de Guzman. This coming December, she will have a solo show at the Pinto Art Museum in Manila, Philippines.

In addition to her individual work, Jimenez is part of two collaborative performance groups, Tatlo (with Jade Yumang and Michael Watson) and Redell & Jimenez (with Kaitlynn Redell). Redell & Jimenez exhibited in El Museo del Barrio’s 7th Biennial, Here is Where We Jump and had their international debut at Museo Laboratorio – Ex Manifattura Tabacchi in Città Sant’Angelo (PE) Italy. Tatlo will participate in the Brooklyn Museum’s exhibition Crossing Brooklyn this coming fall 2014.
