An Energy Tale: An interactive children’s play about energy and our environment

August 4 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

| $20

“An Energy Tale” – a featured event of the Midtown International Theatre Festival, New York’s oldest continuing theatre festival – is an interactive new children’s play which teaches youth about the potential impact of various types of energy consumption on our future, in a way that is equally entertaining and educational to all audiences.

Written by Anthony J. Piccione and directed by Holly Payne-strange, the play begins in the year 2184, when the world is far different than it is in our time. While sitting around and juggling rocks, a young child named Sally, played by Catherine Bradley, is encountered by a mysterious individual known only as Dr. Science, played by Ciara McGovern. With Sally and Dr. Science, the audience is transported back to the past – to our present – to learn about how many important decisions being made today have affected Sally’s world…our future.
