Long before Pixar, The Simpsons, WB Looney Tunes, and Walt Disney became synonymous with cartoons, American animation was born and bred in Brooklyn. Join animators John Canemaker and Jennifer Oxley, collector Tommy Stathes, and archivist David Kay for a panel exploring the past, present, and future of Brooklyn animation, featuring clips from Winsor McCay (Gertie the Dinosaur), Fleischer Studios (Ko-ko the Clown, Betty Boop), 100 Chickens — formerly known as 9 Ate 7 Productions (PEG + CAT), and more.
