A SUPERBUNNY CHRISTMAS
A brand new musical for children!
The Actors Fund Arts Center
160 Schermerhorn Street
Brooklyn, NY
December 13 & 14 from 2:00 – 3:00 PM
ages 6 & up

There will be a holiday gift market in the theater lobby before and after the show featuring books, hand-made puppets, and coloring books.

A SUPERBUNNY CHRISTMAS, based on the award-winning children’s book Thumperino Superbunny and the Christmas Star Caper by Amber L. Spradlin, will be taking flight at the Brooklyn based Actors Fund Arts Center in a performance created by Rabbit Hole Theatricks that is free to everyone.

WHAT IS THE SHOW ABOUT?
The star of our show, Thumperino Superbunny, a New York City house rabbit blessed with super-powers, discovers that the star has been stolen from atop the tree in Christmas Tree Plaza. The holiday will be ruined for millions of children if the star isn’t found in time for Christmas. He sets out on a mission to return this pinnacle of Christmas joy to New York City.

Along the way, our hero uncovers a vile plot, rescues 100 rabbits from an evil villain, and wins the trust of a special new friend. Most importantly, he is taught valuable lessons that children should learn like, overcoming physical challenges, deductive reasoning, determination, sharing, teamwork, sensitivity to the needs of others and acts of selflessness.

WHAT MAKES THIS PROJECT UNIQUE?
Thumperino Superbunny is joined by a charming cast of characters played by a mix of live actors and puppets…the spunky Minniewheat, true blue NYPD mounted policeman Officer Mike, the greedy villain Bertie Biggs, and loveable dancing reindeer Champs. With a rolicking score that covers all styles from memorable Christmas classic to country-pop and an audience dance along moment, it’s a show that’s certain to bring smiles to “kids” from age 6 to 60 and beyond.

Michael MacKenzie Wills, a seasoned writer director who has brought more than 25 children’s musicals to the stage is joined in putting this project together by spirited composer Alastair William King, veteran arranger and music director C. Colby Sachs, and choreographer J. Joseph Burke.
