THE 5TH ANNUAL INVENTGENUITY FESTIVAL! A WEEKEND OF CREATION AND IMAGINATION FEATURING WORKSHOPS, DROP-IN ACTIVITIES, AND ONE BIG COLLABORATIVE PROJECT

Featured Activities: The 2014 Festival Project is the Cam Hammer Analog Synth, designed by Automatonist Eun Jung Park and electronic artist Mark Kleback. Kids will work with Beam Center staff to construct a series of large-scale cam mechanisms based on Leonardo da Vinci’s Cam Hammer that are wired for sound! Participation in the Festival Project is free and on-going. Workshops will explore Mechanical Music through Drawing Sonic Scrolls (Jason Sigal), Talking Origami (Deren Guler), The Living Remix Project (WorldUp), Animated Visual Music (The Good School), and more! These 45-minute, scheduled workshops have a materials fee of $8.25, and run throughout the day. Pre-registration for workshops will be available online to festival registrants.

Festival Project and Workshops are for kids 7+. Select other activities are open to younger kids. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
