It’s getting hot out there, huh? Finally! We mean, it’s something like 300 degrees out there. Nope, we’re not exaggerating, just speaking in the language of Lord Kelvin, who invented a unit of temperature measurement that determines absolute temperatures. Or something. We care, and you should care, because Lord Kelvin Natural Slush Co. makes delicious slush drinks and will be giving them away for free today!

They aren’t giving slushes away today for no reason though. It turns out today is Lord Kelvin’s birthday (he’s 188, but died when he was 83). So to celebrate, the Kelvin slush folks are hopping in their truck, parking it on 5th Avenue and 20th Street from 1pm to 6pm and handing out slush favors like Spicy Ginger and Green & Black Tea. For free! Just imagine coming back from lunch with one of these guys. Everyone in your office will be so jealous, they’ll hate you for it. Hmm…maybe just drink it on the street in that case.

Oh, and if you don’t work in Manhattan or can’t make it to the truck, Berry Park will also be selling $5 alcoholic slushes from 5pm to 7pm. Everyone wins today. Thanks, Lord Kelvin!
