Hey, remember the Brooklyn Spirits Trail, the self-guided tour of Brooklyn’s booze makers that gets you a look at Brooklyn’s thriving alcohol industry? The spirit trail now has a spirit guide, our own Fikriyyah George, who’s set up a tour that will get you a guaranteed spot on a tour of four of the locations on the trail in Red Hook, along with lunch. Which you’ll need, because of the booze. Man, she thought of everything.

Fikriyyah’s Brooklyn Spirits Trail, Red Hook Edition, kicks off on its first run this Saturday, September 6 at 11:30am, and will take you to four of the hotspots along the trail: Jack from Brooklyn, Van Brunt Stillhouse, Red Hook Winery and Cacao Prieto. Each tour stop will include a tasting, and to help you keep up your energy for the walking, pizza courtesy of Brokelyn favorite Rocky Sullivan’s will also be provided. Also, at the end of the tour someone wins a pair of shoelace substitute Hickies. People hate shoelaces, so that’s a pretty good deal.

Tickets for this weekend’s tour, or for one on October 4 will run you $40 usually, but each day has an early bird special where the first five people to buy tickets will get them for $30. So, get a comfy pair of shoes and maybe don’t make too many plans for the day after the tour, you may end “learning” a bit too much. With your mouth.
