Brooklyn, meet your new roommate: Audrey Tautou?

Audrey, please make the bed when you’re done.

Roommate life got you down, what with devil cats and passive aggressive notes? Meet your new roommate for a day: Audrey Tautou! According to Park Slope Stoop, director Cedric Klapisch is in the market for a Brooklyn apartment in which to shoot a scene for his upcoming film, Chinese Puzzle. For about eight hours of shooting, you’ll receive a “reasonable location fee.” We can just picture Amelie, ahem, Audrey, reading in our Brooklyn beds.  Here’s the letter that’s been floating around:

To Whom It May Concern,

What Moves Me, LLC is currently in pre-production on a new feature film titled “Chinese Puzzle:’ written and directed by Cedric Klapsich (My Piece of the Pie, L’Auberge Espagnole, Reins du Tout). The film is the final installment of a 20 year long trilogy of films that began in 1992 with L’Auberge Espagnole. The critically acclaimed trilogy of films follow the lives of three fictional characters over the last two decades and stars Audrey Tautou (Amelie, The DaVinci Code, L’Auberge Espagnole), Cecile De France (L’Auberge Espagnole, Reins du tout) and Romain Duris (L’Auberge Espagnole). “Chinese Puzzle is set to film in New York City beginning in September of 2012.

At this time, we are actively scouting for a number of locations to showcase in the film and that is why you are receiving this letter. One of the main characters residences is scripted as an NYC apartment which we will showcase in our film. The apartment should be in the ground floor or one flight up. If your residence matches these elements, and you are interested in being considered, please do not hesitate to contact me, Miguel Fernandez 917.691.8276. The first step of the film process is to set up an appointment to come bye and photograph the residence for consideration by the director and designer. If our director and designer respond positively to the photographs we will want to return, in person, for an additional scout. The filming is loosely scheduled for September 10th for approximately 6-8 hours.

Please know that if selected a reasonable location fee will be provided and all pertinent entities will be listed as additional insured on our commercial liability insurance. Also, we will acquire all necessary permits from the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment.

Thank you for your consideration.
