Brokelyn readers: Late Night Basement has free beer for you to celebrate their new venue

It seems like only yesterday that Late Night Basement, Bushwick’s live monthly late night show, was a well-kept secret, despite drawing good guests and having funny segments. Well, all that’s over now. The secret is out that this is a great way to spend an evening, and the back room of the Pine Box Rock Shop has been packed sardine tight, to the point that even showing up a half hour before the show starts doesn’t guarantee you a seat.

So, having outgrown this home, Late Night Basement is moving a few blocks away to the Livestream building at 195 Morgan Avenue for their show this Friday. They’re so happy about the move that they want to give some select readers of Brokelyn free beer in celebration. Now this is how you host an audience.

As is always the case with Late Night Basement, their show this week, Friday at 8:30pm, has a great lineup of guests: Zod himself, Michael Shannon will be there for an interview and musical performance with his band, Corporal; you’ll get comedy from Colbert Report and Late Night with Stephen Colbert head writer Opus Moreschi and Broad City writer Naomi Ekperegin, and there’s a special guest who hasn’t been announced yet. Is it…YOU? Probably not.

About that free beer though. All you need to do is be one of the first ten people to email an RSVP to latenightbasement [AT] gmaill.com with the subject line BROKELYN and you get a free beer from Heavy Seas. Considering the show itself is still free, that means you’re getting free standup comedy, free late night talkshow action AND you get to see General Zod perform indie rock for free, while drinking a free beer. You should definitely email and get in on this posthaste.
