Yep, you heard it. No posts here for a week. Crickets, my friends. No blog posts, Twitter feeds or Facebook updates. (Okay, maybe a little Facebook.) We’ll resume publishing full force after Labor Day—if we can hold out that long. And we’ve got lots of good stories in the works, so please be sure to check back with us Tuesday morning at the crack of dawn.
While we’re away, may we suggest you visit a few of our friends: Brooklyn Based, F-cked in Park Slope or the skint. Or peel your eyes away from the monitor altogether and go on one of our seven favorite Brooklyn field trips, then shop for dinner ingredients at a Mexican grocery store. Get a free makeover from Macy’s and go on a cheap date. Go shoe shopping. Or find an affordable place to get your kundalini on. (Get ours on too while you’re there.)
Looking for a great Labor Day BBQ idea? Try pork butt—you’ll feed more than a dozen people for $10. And we hear there’s a benefit for the Women’s Refugee Committee on Wednesday at Southpaw. With all the great things to do on our site—heck we haven’t even tried them all—you might not even miss us. We’re only saying that though.
