If you are one of those people who actually buys a fall coat instead of going hobo style and piling on layer upon layer of flannels and T-shirts, you may find yourself staring at the absurd store prices for what isn’t even a full jacket. You could play your luck with thrift store roulette, or you could check out this list: Caroline sent over this link from Lucky magazine listing 20 “seriously stylish” fall coats you can buy for under $50. It runs the gamut from “a plaid cape to a slick coated trench to a collegiate-cool peacoat.” And judging by the fact that it’s in the freaking 40s as of press time, it looks like you’re going to need them soon.
