Fall is great because it means bookworm events out the wazoo. So another week brings us another book swap, but this one features both our friends at Public Assembly and will benefit the good folk at Housing Works (which, if you didn’t know, advocates on behalf of people with HIV/AIDS). From 12-6 Sunday, bring $2 donation and a sack of your old books to swap for new new (or at least, new-to-you) reading material at the Bring Your Old Books: Community Swap & Benefit. All the money and extra books will be donated to Housing Works Bookstore Cafe, which helps raise money for advocacy and outreach. Plus, there will be music by DJ Ian Michael Jackson and DJ Spindler. For early donations or to volunteer, email bethanypickard(at)gmail.co
Another chance to do good with your old books this week
