Hey, you, Greenpoint resident who figures they know everything there is to know about Greenpoint. Are you bored with your current job and are looking to break into the exciting world of local bloggingering? Why go through the painful steps of establishing a brand over years and years when you can take a Mario warp tunnel to legitimacy (for the right price) by buying Greenpointers? As sad as it makes us, our pal Jen has up and moved to Oregon, so it’s time for someone else to drive the Greenpointmobile. Is it you?
In her post announcing the sale and her departure to the untamed wilds of Oregon, Jen called her decision to buy Greenpointers from its original owners one of the best decisions she ever made. So presumably, it will be a good decision for you, as long as you like blogging and being in charge of a blog with over 10,000 Facebook likes and 6300 Twitter followers. That’s a lot, more than individual members of Team Brokelyn have anyway.
As Jen pointed out, Greenpointers is known for their events, especially their holiday markets, so she prefers someone who can both be a publishing genius as well as an event one. The two don’t necessarily go hand in hand, but they do both require a ton of energy and multitasking, so if you think you can do it and you have a serious proposal, email Jen at editor [AT] greenpointers.com. And if you’re the one to buy it, say hello! We liked Jen, so we’d like to like you too.
