What it is: An ornate but not ostentatious watering hole coupling the air of antique with New American food, cocktails and an ample craft beer selection.

Why we love it: Walking into Reclamation is like looking into the face of the past, if the past had a facelift. Much of what you see is reclaimed (hence the name), with everything from the door frames to the ceiling found in salvage yards and demolition sites. The bar you’re bellying up to? Barn wood from upstate New York.

Besides balancing the modern with the old-fashioned, the bar is spacious and accommodating for large groups and events, offering out different sections for events when requested. Weeknight events include sports nights with Michael (Mondays) and movie nights with Britney (Tuesdays), bringing a little activity to those post work Brooklyn nights.

What to order: Anything from a beer and shot deal to a craft beer to a classic cocktail is good here – take the time to try a few. Couple your drink with a fancy panini (fig and bacon on sourdough, spicy turkey on ciabatta, vegan white bean puree) or cheese plate—food is offered until 4am.

Regular tip: The bar houses food pop ups from time to time—this year, there will be a series of ramen months, so use your noodle to plan out the right time to visit.
