Today we feature Mission Dolores, which also happens to be the site of our first-ever Brokelyn BeerUp this Wednesday at 7pm! Mission Dolores: 249 Fourth Ave. (Carroll & President streets)
What it is: A former autoshop converted into a bar by the guys behind Bar Great Harry in 2010.
Why we love it: The funky indoor-outdoor-indoor layout easily converts into an open-air beer garden in warmer weather, a perfect match for the rotating selection of 20 taps and one cask. With two well-maintained pinball machines, it’s also a venue for the inaugural Pinball New York City league.
Who to bring: Beer aficionados, people who like nightlife crowds but not the Williamsburg kind, that kid with such a supple wrist.
What to order: The draft list changes almost daily so it’s a tough call, but they’re pouring the new Sixpoint Sehr Crisp Lager right now, and Sixpoint has never steered us wrong.
Mission Dolores fun fact: The bar is named for a neighborhood of San Francisco. Screen print mug shots of famous cons line the walls. The owners used recycled material for everything except essentials like plumbing and electrical panels.

I love Mission Dolores. When I went last i had a sampler and the beer selection was excellent. I also ordered delivery of tacos from the place across the street. They have menus from local takeout restaurants in the area. The space is really nice too.
