Apply now to volunteer at Fall Fashion Week 2012

Want in? Volunteer, why not?

Aspiring to a career in the fashion industry? If you’re willing and able to work hard, for free, in 4 inch heels for 12+ hours a day, apply now for a chance to volunteer at Mercedes-Benz Fall Fashion Week 2012. Fall Fashion Week, Sept. 6-13 in and around Lincoln Center, is where designers and brands debut their Spring 2013 collections to fashion editors and buyers (so they can start telling us what’s in and out next season).

Volunteers will have varied responsibilities depending on interests and experience including:

• runway venue preparation
• designer guest ushers
• backstage assistance and setup (e.g., fetching boob tape)
• assembling gift bags and press kits
• working main event information desk
* assist in volunteer center
• miscellaneous assistance to Fashion Week staff.

Check out this Teen Vogue article featuring previous MBNYFW volunteers for detailed accounts of their experiences; based on their accounts, the competition is steep but the insider knowledge is invaluable. To apply, email resume and cover letter to [email protected] by July 6. We hear there’s an interview process too. Make it work!
