A free beer surf shop happy hour worth getting stoked over

We’re expecting great things out of NYC Urchin, the surfing community group for city kids. They’ve already put on a big surf flea market; now they’re back co-hosting an open bar happy hour at a surf shop. You can hang out, drink some free PBR, gaze longingly at the sticks while you debate buying a winter wetsuit and chat about Stoked, a groovy mentoring organization that takes kids on surf, skate and ski trips (they need volunteers!). The happy hour is Thursday (Oct. 4) at Aegir Boardworks in Dumbo from 7-10pm.
